photo photography carnival orange ivrea

Last year for carnival I was in Venice, to photograph the beautiful masks that every year populate its streets and squares. This year, however, I moved to Ivrea, where the various districts of the city collide each other in citrus flavor skirmishes.

In fact since 1808 Ivrea has hosted this event, the culmination of which is the famous "Battle of the Oranges", which has become the icon of the Carnival and the widespread custom of wearing a frigid cap or "berretto frigio" (which I invite you to try to avoid to be target of some shooter). Tendering not to fall also victim of some very long launch I tried taking some photos of the event. See you soon!
